Key Highlights
Aquanuity, Inc., the leader in strategy-led simulation-powered water infrastructure digital twin software, continues to expand upon its best-in-class products and platform with the release of AquaTwin Water Generation V3.0 for ArcGIS Pro 3.0. The new release features offers a wealth of new functionality and further substantiates the company’s strategic commitment to innovation for its customers.
Natural disasters such as wildfires can result in service interruption, infrastructure damage, loss of structures and human life, and recovery costs. To improve their resilience, water utilities must build their capacity to fight fires as quickly as possible, planning for and understanding any potential vulnerabilities in their system, and practicing response to adverse events in real-time as they happen. AquaTwin Water V3.0 lets water utilities and their engineering consultants assess their water infrastructure resilience to natural disasters. The breakthrough release fully integrates hydraulic/water quality and dynamic fire flow simulations, impact estimates and response actions, and resilience metrics into a single, fully automated platform. The results can be viewed using dynamic analytic tools including vivid dashboards, heat maps, 2D and 3D mapping, contours, graphs, tables, and reports. They are also directly available in AquaTwin Asset for use in capital planning.
The software’s Infrastructure Risk and Resilience Analysis tool can be applied to a wide range of disruptive incidents (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, winter storms). It automatically conducts a criticality (outage) analysis for the entire water system and reports the results on system performance. Specifically, it identifies the most critical elements resulting in demand and/or pressure shortfall as well as pipes with excessive velocity and headloss.
AquaTwin Water’s mission-critical resilience tools were specifically designed to help water utilities estimate potential damages from a disaster, understand how the damage to infrastructure might occur over time, evaluate preparedness strategies, prioritize response actions, and identify worse case scenarios and efficient repair strategies.
“AquaTwin Water V3.0 marks another milestone in GIS-centric water infrastructure digital win simulation for resilience,” said Paul Boulos, Chairman and CEO of Aquanuity. “Water agencies must address natural disaster threats including the associated impacts to life, property, the community, and water system. Our newest AquaTwin Water release lets water utilities evaluate and prioritize their water infrastructure and disaster resilience to help protect the water systems they operate and the communities they serve. We continue to push the technology curve to make it better, faster, easier for utilities to build, operate, manage and sustain high-performing, highly efficient and resilient water infrastructure systems for success.”
