AquaTwin Water V2.0 Significantly Accelerates Planning, Design and Operational Efficiency

Aquanuity, Inc., the leader in strategy-led simulation-powered water infrastructure digital twin software, today introduced AquaTwin Water Generation V2.0 for ArcGIS Pro 3.0. The new release significantly accelerates design and operational efficiency and streamlines modeling workflow, and further substantiates the company’s strategic commitment to innovation for its customers.

A comprehensive 64-bit feature-packed modeling and analysis software, AquaTwin Water is the next-generation AI-powered geocentric digital twin software for safe, reliable, sustainable and resilient water infrastructure. The software can effectively be used by both water utilities and their engineering consultants in all phases of the water infrastructure asset lifecycle. Design and size new water infrastructure, retrofit existing aging infrastructure, provide adequate capacity to fight fires, forecast demands, optimize operations of tanks and pumps, reduce energy usage, investigate water quality problems, plan flushing operations, and prepare for emergencies. And armed with very fast and advanced simulation capabilities, users can model contamination threats and evaluate resilience to security threats, climate change or natural disasters.

Version 2.0 greatly extends AquaTwin Water’s powerful inheritance-based Scenario Management capabilities for creating and evaluating multiple “what if?” situations in a single project with new Twin Sets builder. Each Twin Set represents specific network simulation data (i.e., network configuration) that can be associated with any project scenario. Network simulation data can include any combination of network elements, demand patterns, pump curves and operational controls. Users can now create, evaluate and compare various planning and design options or analyze existing system performance using different demand loading and operating conditions based on their hydraulic and water quality implications and costs, and compare the results quicker and easier.

First of its kind, Version 2.0 introduces the unique geocentric ability to directly append – with a single click – existing digital twins with new infrastructure (e.g., new developments) associated with the various time-varying phases of a water master planning CIP. Engineers and GIS specialists can now visualize and manage their entire water infrastructure digital twin data, hydraulic/water quality simulation results, and planning scenarios within a single ArcGIS Pro geodatabase. No need to transfer data back and forth, separate databases or work arounds. The digital twin and the GIS are now one and the same.

AquaTwin Water V2.0 marks another milestone in GIS-centric water infrastructure digital win modeling,” said Paul Boulos, Chairman and CEO of Aquanuity. “This latest release has new functionality to better enable engineers to speed up network modeling productivity with ease. We continue to push the technology curve to make it better, faster, easier for utilities to operate, manage and sustain high-performing, highly efficient water infrastructure systems — imperative in today’s economy — meet the needs of their customers and build better their communities.”
