Pasadena Water and Power, CA Selects AquaTwin Water Software

Aquanuity, Inc., the leader in strategy-led simulation-powered water infrastructure digital twin software, today announced that Pasadena Water and Power (PWP), Pasadena, California, has purchased AquaTwin Water software for managing all aspects of its extensive water distribution system. The decision further confirms Aquanuity’s leadership position in AI-powered geocentric digital twin software for water utilities.

As a community-owned utility, PWP is a not-for-profit public service owned and operated by the City of Pasadena for the benefit of its customers and the community. It provides electricity to more than 65,000 customers within Pasadena and delivers water to almost 38,000 households and businesses in Pasadena and adjacent communities in the San Gabriel Valley through a pipeline network of 520 miles of mains.

A groundbreaking ArcGIS Pro® 3.x extension, AquaTwin Water is the next-generation AI-powered geocentric water infrastructure digital twin modeling and management software. The software can effectively be used by both water utilities and their engineering consultants in all phases of the water infrastructure asset lifecycle. Design and size new water infrastructure, retrofit existing aging infrastructure, provide adequate capacity to fight fires, forecast demands, optimize operations of tanks and pumps, reduce energy usage, investigate water quality problems, plan flushing operations, strengthen infrastructure and wildfire resilience, and prepare for emergencies. And armed with the industry fastest and most advanced simulation capabilities, users can model contamination threats and evaluate resilience to security threats, climate change or natural disasters. They are now able to proactively solve or prevent problems, make confident decisions, execute quickly on a consistent basis, and plan and shape a better future for their communities.

“Water utilities are quickly recognizing the unprecedented business value and benefits of the AquaTwin digital twin platform for building, operating and managing sustainable and resilient water infrastructure,” said Paul F. Boulos, Chairman and CEO of Aquanuity. “The fact that preeminent innovation-driven utilities like PWP chose Aquanuity as its solution partner clearly demonstrates the significant advantages and superiority of our water infrastructure digital twin technology. We’re proud and excited to partner in PWP’s success.”
