Aquanuity Chairman and CEO Paul Boulos Named CEC 2024 President-Elect

Aquanuity, Inc., the leader in strategy-led simulation-powered geocentric water infrastructure digital twin software, today announced that its Chairman and CEO, Paul Boulos, has officially been elected President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. (CEC) for the 2024-2025 term. Boulos will serve as president-elect for the 2023-2024 term starting October 1st, 2023.

The ASCE was founded in 1852 and represents over 150,000 civil engineering industry members. It provides education, holds professional conferences, and acts as an authoritative source for industry codes and standards for the sake of public protection.

Founded by ASCE, Civil Engineering Certification is the only professional credential developed by civil engineers, for civil engineering. The purpose of CEC is to develop and administer civil engineering board certification programs in four administrative units: the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE), the Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE), the Academy of Geo-Professionals (AGP), and the Utility Engineering & Surveying Certification Board (UESCB). The administrative units recognize civil engineers who have demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in a specific specialty area, bringing more value to civil engineering stakeholders.

As President, Boulos will be the chief representative and spokesperson for the CEC. He will also chair the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as assisting in expanding board certification to include additional specialties. CEC certifications are accredited by the Council of Engineering & Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB).
