The Fellowship recognizes distinguished contributions to AI and its interdisciplinary applications.
AAIS is the successor to the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), founded in 2021, and serves as an international academic organization bringing together leading scholars in AI and the sciences from around the world. Among his many recognitions and awards, Boulos has been inducted into the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Construction, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the University of Kentucky Hall of Distinction; was recognized with the ASCE OPAL Lifetime Achievement Award, the EWRI Lifetime Achievement Award, the ASCE John I. Parcel–Leif J. Sverdrup Civil Engineering Management Award, the ASCE Simon W. Freese Environmental Engineering Award, and the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists Edward J. Cleary Award; was elected to the grade of Distinguished Member of ASCE; and was the recipient of the U.S. Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
